Hla Hla Win is CEO and Co-Founder of 360ed, a Myanmar-based EdTech social enterprise. She is on a mission to democratize access to quality education by leveraging VR, AR,, and mobile technologies to build engaging new educational tools. After launching 360ed in Silicon Valley, she returned to Myanmar and has built the company into a team of 70. 360ed’s AR learning tools for K-12+ students and in English as a Second Language and STEM are currently used in schools in Southeast Asia and Japan, and will soon ship to the United States. 360ed advises the Myanmar government and others on educational technology and transformation.
Hla Hla is one of the Social Entrepreneur of the Year 2019 Awardees of the Schwab Foundation, the World Economic Forum’s sister organization. Under her leadership, 360ed has been recently awarded for 2019 Nikkei Superior Products and Services Award. 360ed’s work received UNESCO’s award for innovation in digital technologies in February 2018 at UNESCO HQ in Paris. She was also awarded the Emerging Young Leader Award from William Penn University in 2018.
Hla Hla received her master’s degree from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, her undergraduate degree in Education from William Penn University in Iowa, and a leadership diploma from East West Center at the University of Hawaii. She was also selected for the prestigious Singularity University program for entrepreneurs, based in NASA research center in Silicon Valley, which is focused on addressing global grand challenges that can impact a billion people. She is a momtrepreneur, the daughter of a teacher, and lives in Yangon, Myanmar.
