Born and raised in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, Janelle Lavoie obtained her Bachelor of Kinesiology in 2018, Bachelor of Education in 2019, and has just completed a Master’s in Educational Technology and Design (ETAD) from the University of Saskatchewan. She has taught children and adults of all ages, in many different capacities, for over a decade. Currently, Lavoie is a middle years French Immersion online teacher. The ETAD program has allowed her to combine teaching and technology to enhance her teaching practices and to improve student engagement both in the classroom and online learning.  Her true passion is creating and implementing immersive learning environments for educational purposes.
