Anna Xygkou

Anna Xygkou is a researcher at the Tizard Centre, University of Kent. She is interested in exploring immersive technologies, and specifically Virtual Reality (VR) as an intervention tool with autistic populations. She has an MSc in Language and Communication in Children from the University of Sheffield, a Diploma in speech and language Therapy from City University London and an MSc in research Methods from the University of Kent. She has hosted sessions in virtual reality conferences and events (EducatorsinVR, StudentsinVR, AltspaceVR interviews, co-leader of the Diversity and Access Track in EducatorsinVR platform) and she is the founder of the AUTISM Virtual Reality Channel in AltspaceVR. She has also delivered language and communication sessions to autistic children and adolescents, which inspired her to support their social skills and interaction via technology.
